Curse of chucky movie review

A fair few weeks ago now I did my review of the 1st child's play movie. But recently I saw curse of chucky and honestly it was nearly as good as the first one. When it comes to the chucky movies the 1st one is by far the best, the 2nd one is a pretty good sequel, the 3rd one was ok, bride of chucky was unneeded and seed of chucky was just all around terrible. But curse of chucky is an amazing and is like a remake/origin story and really ties the chucky story together. In a way it is connected to the previous movies and despite the the fact he doesn't have his scares from the last couple of movies at the start of the movie he quickly gets them back. The kills in this movie are damn well made I've seen some pretty creative kills and these definetly make my top 10. It has a pretty slow start but over time it picks up a bit, I loved the bit were the dad says it's a doll what's the worst that can happen? Hahaha I was laughing at that bit. Overall chucky was a really cool movie and is one of my favourite horror movies

The conjuring movie review

The conjuring is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen, no joke. James wan (director of the saw franchise and insidious) wanted to make a new horror movie that people are going to remember for a LONG time, and I must say the conjuring does its job well. It's everything I expected and more, it starts off by introducing annabelle (won't go into too much detail for spoiler reasons) but after that you see a random family moves into a house and of coarse it's haunted. I had goosebumps for a good 70% of the movie which was good, my friends who have seen it said it was both amazing and terrifying, they weren't wrong. After seeing the conjuring I'm really excited to see other movies similar to that such as insidious and sinister, mind you I've heard  sinister is a lot scarier than the conjuring 😬

The hobbit the battle of the 5 armies movie review

The hobbit the battle of the 5 armies was everything I expected it to be, it was big exhilarating and just down right awesome. I found Bilbo to be more of a engaging character in this one and I loved what becoming king does to thorin. Gandalf as usual never fails to impress me and the other characters were great too, mind you I didn't get to see as much of smaug as I thought I would but that's ok. I really enjoyed the orks in this aswell especially Azog and Bolg, Azog as usual was a amazing ork leader and his son Bolg was just an amazing character overall. I found the end absolutely spectacular but I found it a little shocking to see how many of the dwarves of errabor were killed. But all in all the hobbit the battle of the 5 armies was an amazing movie and a fantastic end to a splendid trilogy.

Insurgent movie review

So a few days ago a few freinds and I went to see insurgent and even though I sadly haven't seen the 1st one yet(divergent), this one is a pretty good movie and I'm now DEFINETLLY going to see the 1st one. A couple of my freinds who have seen the 1st one said that it was better than the 2nd but as I haven't seen it I wouldn't know. But anyway insurgent was a pretty good movie, for some reason it reminded me of the hunger games mocking jay part 1 even though it's got nothing to do with it. The plot was fairly simple but I didn't care for the villian that much, but other than that the characters where pretty likeable. E ONE did a very good job with this and I can't wait to see what they come up with next

Lego batman 3 beyond Gotham review (PS3)

Ok, I literally spent all day yesterday trying to complete this and I gotta tell you it was time well spent. Lego batman 3 has become my favourite Lego game of all time (surprisingly), there are so many characters to collect, even though I've hardly got any but at least now I'll have something else to do. I'm extremely happy with all the different characters they've put in, from the mighty yellow lantern sinestro to the man of steel superman. I'm also amazed at all the locations, one minute you're in the batcave trying to knock batman out after being mind controlled by brainiac then the next you are flying around the galaxy to all the different lantern worlds. The graphics are absolutely stunning and I'm glad they have made the flying more like that of Lego marvel superheroes. It has quite q surprising twist at the end but I won't mention it for spoiler reasons. But Lego batman 3 beyond Gotham is a groundbreaking game and I can't wait to get stuck into it again and try and find some more characters.

I, Frankenstien movie review

I wasn't originally going to get this movie, but I saw it at Kmart for a pretty cheap price and actually I really enjoyed it. I know that people most people didn't like this movie, but I really don't understand why. The plot is fairly simple, Dr Frankenstien creates his monster but then for some weird reason he try's to kill him by knocking him out putting him in a body bag and throws him in a river. But what he didn't realise was that he was not dead, to get revenge the monster kills Dr Frankenstien's wife. When Dr Frankenstien realises this the monster is gone. Dr Frankenstien goes looking for the monster but dies from hypothermia, the monster finds his creator and decides to berry him but is attacked by demons. This attracts the attention of 2 gargoyles who kill the demons and bring the monster to their castle were he meats their queen and joins them, the queen calls him Adam. Then 200 years later there is a massive war between the demons and the gargoyles, and Adam is stuck in the middle. So like I said pretty simple plot, I thought I'd like the demons bs but instead ended up liking the gargoyles. Aaron eckhart plays Adam and I'm sure I've seen one of his movies at one point, but he was very good. One thing I didn't like about Adam was his look, I mean Frankenstien's monster is supposed to be created by human body parts but he looked like a normal man but with scratches all over his body. I maybe would've profered it better if he had a really skinny arm an another really muscular arm, but oh well. All in all I, Frankenstien was fairly good movie

Child's play movie review

Ok after seeing Child's play I officially have a fear of dolls it was that good. It was soooo much better than I thought it would be, I love the fact that Brad dourif plays chucky no one could play him better than he does. The scariest part in my opinion was the lead up to chucky, sure you see chucky a lot but he dosent really do much besides sitting there being a creepy little doll, it's literally giving me goosebumps just thinking about it. Honestly the acting wasn't too bad the little kid Andy was pretty good too considering that most kid actors aren't all that great but he still did an alright job. I haven't seen any of the other chucky movies and I don't have any plans to at this point in time besides curse of chucky which I've been wanting to see for ages now. Like I said before child's play has given me a fear of dolls and I seriously don't know how I'm going to see annabelle or the conjuring.

Big Bang theory tv show review

Big Bang theory is by far my favourite TV show of all time, maybe because I can relate to it quite strongly. It's about four nerds who are into pretty much all of the same stuff that I'm like Star Wars, Star Trek, lord of the rings/the hobbit, superheroes ETC. It's also one of the funniest and most popular shows on TV. My absolute favourite character is sheldon the show would probably be nothing without him, he's so hilarious and out of the four he is the one I relate to the most. Big Bang theory is my favourite show ever and I soooo recommend it to anyone, especially nerds like myself

Aquaman movie poster released

Ok so they just released a movie poster for the Aquaman movie, and I think it looks badass. The actor who will be playing him is Jason momoa, and even though I haven't seen any of his movies everyone seems to be happy about it. They are saying that he is possibly one of the best actors that could play him. I'm also excited that Aquaman will also be in next years Batman V Superman dawn of justice movie along with justice league part 1 and 2. Some people are complaining about the colour of the suit, even though it's in black and white on the poster dosent mean it will be like that in the movie, just imagine it in orange and  green. I really don't see why people don't like Aquaman, when ever I ask one of my freinds what they think about him they say things like he's boring, his powers are useless and other stuff like that. I personally love Aquaman, I find his powers awesome for instance he can breathe underwater, control/manipulate water, speak to fish/other sea creatures  and so much more. Like in one of the justice league comics from 2004 were they first met Aquaman, a huge army of flying robots controlled by brainiac is  racing towards them, Wonder Woman asks Aquaman what can you do and he says nothing but instead creating a massive wave crashing down on the robots and sending 6 thirty foot great white sharks to finish them off. For that reason he is one of my favourite DC superheroes. I'm also just so excited for this movie to come out it will be great when the first trailer is announced.

Gravity movie review

Gravity is an amazing movie, It won many just for the special effects alone.  It also had a great cast considering there's only two characters in it. George Clooney was extremely good as he is in most movies even though he wasn't in it for as long as Sandra bullock.  Speaking of Sandra bullock, Even though I haven't seen many of her movies she was great in it.  The movie at times got a little emotional, when Sandra bullock called for George Clooney on the radio when she finally got to the space station and he didn't respond you really feel sadness and sympathy for her.  All in all Gravity is a fantastic movie, it's different to most sci-fi thriller movies that I've seen and that's a good thing.

Dawn of the planet of the apes movie review

In 2011 I saw Rise of the planet of the apes, And at the time it was my favourite movie of all time. But now that I have seen Dawn of the planet of the apes, That has now taken its place. The motion capture that I loved in the 1st one is now better than ever. The characters from the first movie have also adapted in so many ways especially Ceiser, The mighty leader who wants peace for his family and the other apes. Then there's Koba the fierce chimp who has a great hatred for humans and wants allout war with them. The human characters in it are amazing aswell especially the legendary Gary Oldman. At times it can also be a little emotional, gripping and tense, my heart started racing as Koba gave Ceiser a devilish look before he shoots him and tries to blame it on the humans.

Grand theft auto 5 first impressions (PS3)

Grand theft auto 5 is an amazing game, It has some of the best graphics I've seen on any video game.  Even though I haven't completed the game yet, I've found it absolutely breath taking so far. The three main characters are Michael, Franklin and the deranged psychopath Trevor.  Honestly out of the three I preferred Trevor, Maybe because he's the most interesting and funny out of the trio. Michael is my 2nd favourite as he is a pretty good character but dosent seem to live up to the hype like Trevor does. Then there's Franklin my least favourite out of the three, I'm not saying he's a bad character he's just not as good as Michael or Trevor and I just found him to be a bit boring. Other than that GTA 5 is a AMAZING game and I soooo recommend it. Except a full review when I've completed it.

Call of duty advanced warfare review (PS3)

I completed Call Of Duty advanced warfare a good two to three weeks ago, and out of all the Call Of Duty games I've played so far this is definitely my favourite.  It could possibly be my favourite game of all time, firstly the graphics are awesome their so good infact, the cutscenes look like a real life movie.  The gameplay is great, I was amazed at how many different guns there were and what they could do.  One of my most favourite components that Activision added was the jet pack, I found it convenient to be able to find myself blasting over enemies heads on multiplayer.  I had such a GREAT time playing COD advanced warfare and I can't wait to see what Activision comes out with next.

Robocop (2014) movie review

Ok, so I just watched Robocop, and honestly, it was so much better than I expected it to be.  I mean I knew it would be good, but Oh My God this movie was fantastic.  Now, I'm not saying that it's perfect, their are some things that could've been better. When Alex Murphy became a cyborg or robot if you will, it took a pretty long time until he  actually did anything as Robocop. However one thing I absolutely loved about it was the cast, they were amazing.  There were some actors/actresses with familiar faces, my favourite actor in the whole movie was Samual L Jackson who played a TV show host, and for some weird reason their was something really intriguing and exciting about him. One of the other great actors in this movie was Gary Oldman who Played the scientist who transformed Alex Murphy into robocop.
Another  great thing about the movie were the special effects. They were so good when robocop was dodging the bullets of his enemies, it looked so realistic.
Robocop is such a good movie and I highly recommend it. This movie made me wish I was a cyborg  police officer. If you're a fan of badass action movies this is the movie for you.

Dark souls 2 first impressions (PS3)

On Thursday night I purchased dark souls 2 from my local EB games. I've only played a very little bit of it and I've already found the game extremely difficult. At first I found it a little hard to get used to the controls. As I have never played the first game but I quickly got used to it. The last time I played it was yesterday (Friday the 13th of February 2015) and I only got up to the dragon rider boss battle. I may have died after two hits but I found it to be a very fun boss battle. Honestly the graphics are so much better than I expected. When I got the game I thought the graphics would be similar to those of skyrim. But they ended up blowing me away. I also found the character creator to be an amazing component to the game. I ended up spending five or ten minutes trying to figure out what class to pick. I finished my character off pretty quickly after that. Over all I've found dark souls 2 to be a very well made and extremely fun game.
